This Privacy Policy explains what personal information store.nootankumar.com (“the Store”, “we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We are committed to handling your data carefully and in line with Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. What we collect
Information you give us
When you place an order or create an account, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your billing address
- Your phone number (where provided)
- Any message or note you add to an order
When you contact us by email, we hold that correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of the issue.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the Store, we or our service providers may collect:
- IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, and referring website
- Cookie identifiers (see section 6)
What we do not collect
We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or bank credentials. All payment details are entered directly into Razorpay’s secure systems and are never visible to us. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, along with a transaction reference.

We do not use your data for any purpose beyond those listed without telling you first.
3. Legal basis
We process your data because it is necessary to fulfil the contract you enter into when purchasing, to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting rules), for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the Store, and — for marketing — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Razorpay — our payment processor, to complete transactions
- Our web hosting provider — which stores the Store’s data on its servers
- Email delivery services — to send order confirmations and download links
- Analytics and advertising providers — where these are active, for measurement (see section 6)
- Government authorities or law enforcement — where we are legally required to do so
Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy obligations.
5. Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers used by our hosting and service providers, which may be located inside or outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on our providers’ contractual and technical safeguards to protect it.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep items in your cart and keep you logged in (essential — the Store will not function without these)
- Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)
- Measure the performance of advertising campaigns, where running (advertising)
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent checkout from working.
If you arrive via an advertisement, the advertising platform concerned may set its own cookies or tracking pixels, governed by that platform’s privacy policy.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records: retained as long as required under Indian tax and accounting law (generally up to 8 years)
- Account data: until you ask us to delete your account
- Support correspondence: up to 3 years
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Request erasure of your data, where we are not legally required to keep it
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity
- Raise a grievance about how your data has been handled
To exercise any of these, email support@nootankumar.com. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in any case within the timeframes required by law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption across the Store, restrict administrative access, and rely on a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider (Razorpay) for all financial transactions.
No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
10. Children
The Store is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails where you have opted in. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also email support@nootankumar.com to opt out at any time.
Transactional emails — order confirmations, download links, refund notices — are not marketing and will still be sent, as they are necessary to fulfil your order.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Store.
